I have had to overcome two challenges in my goal toward playing baseball in college.
I’m often the youngest guy on the team because I have a summer birthday, and when I was young I was not the most naturally talented player on the field. I knew I had to work harder so I started to train regularly - on and off the field, during the season and in the off-season. I used what my coaches said to improve every part of my game. The work and dedication paid off quickly. I was selected for a 14U elite travel team when I was only 13 and I earned a starting spot on the JV team as a freshman. I get better everyday and I’m learning so much about the game and myself - what motivates me, how hard I work, that I’m a strong leader, and how easily I can overcome obstacles.
As important as baseball is to me, my academics are equally important. I want to thrive on the field as well as in the classroom. So I would like to find a college that maximizes my potential to excel as a student athlete.
