Duncan Weir '21 Recruiting Profile

My name is Duncan Weir and I will be a senior at the Shikellamy High School. I was recently accepted into the Dual Enrollment ACE program with Bloomsburg University for my senior year and inducted into the 2020 National Honor Society -Nesline Wormley Chapter in addition to playing baseball and football.

I started at third base for my high school varsity team as a freshman, earned a varsity letter after playing every inning and was named all star honorable mention.  In 2019, I started at 2nd base for my high school team and was named a team captain & honorable mention all star. I was named a team captain again for my Junior year before the Corona virus interrupted our season. In the spring and summer I play with the  Baseball U Travel Team. Prior to playing for Baseball U, I played with the US Elite 2021 Travel Club for two years and was invited to play in the Perfect Game World Series in Georgia in 2017.  Over this past summer, I also played with the Norry Renegades, which is an adult wood bat league, gaining valuable experience as well when my schedule would allow.  

I consider myself versatile and adaptable in that I can play pretty much any position on the field. I spent much of my time at middle infield for my legion teams and outfield for my US Elite team and third base for my high school team.  

Additionally, I earned varsity letters in football my junior year at outside linebacker,  my sophomore season at quarterback and outside linebacker, & was named a Team Captain,  and my freshman season I earned a varsity letter for special teams, line backer and a little quarterback and was named 2017 Outstanding Offensive Scout Player. I also played quarterback and line backer for junior varsity that year. 

My goal is to further my education after high school while playing baseball.
