My name is Eddie del Valle. I am a 6’1” tall, 190 pounds left-handed pitcher. Since my sophomore year, I have been a starter and a reliever for the Puerto Rico Baseball Academy and High School varsity team. I have been chosen as the Cy Young winner during my freshman and sophomore years. Also, since I was 14 years old, in my spring and summer team I have been assigned as the first pitcher in the rotation for the 17-18 years old tournament. During this period of time my ERA has been below 1.50. These facts were truly an amazing experience and they have helped me to set the goals for the rest of my high school career. I train for baseball year-round on pitching skills training, camps and combines. I feel my commitment to train will help my personal play and the teams where I participate.
I’m a true believer that a baseball player should have an excellent result in the academic area too. I’m a 4.0/4.0 GPA and I’m looking to obtain a bachelor degree in Engineering or Computer Science. I believe that the COVID 19 challenge that we faced in Puerto Rico where we can’t play a baseball game for a 12 months period and having a remote education helped me to be a better player an overcome all the obstacles related to the education. I’m a winner in baseball and volleyball, which are the sports that I play. I’m a teammate in and out of the baseball stadium with clear short- and long-term goals in the academics and baseball arena.
