Being raised with Christian values and morals and in an athletic home has taught me discipline, good sportsmanship, good work ethics, and how to respect others and the game of baseball. I have been influenced by both of my parents. They have both dedicated their lives in making sure that me and my sister learn how to take advantage of the opportunities that are given to us and to never take anything for granted, but instead be thankful for what we have and to take care of what God has placed in our hands. My parents have been an example of perseverance and of overcoming adversity.

Ever since I was a child I remember watching and playing baseball with my dad. I remember loving baseball so much that all I wanted to play with was a bat, ball and glove, and play outside with my dad every chance that I could. I have learned much about the game of baseball from my dad. As a child he shared his stories of success and failure in his pursuit of an education and baseball. My dad played college baseball and some professional baseball. His stories drew me to the game but also to understanding the importance of an education. Along the way I have come to learn how to be a hardworking and respectful person and student-athlete.

My academic goals in high school are to make honors or higher and to continue improving my baseball skills in order to increase my chances of playing and studying at the collegiate level. In college I hope to achieve my educational goals and earn a business degree and, if given the opportunity, to play baseball at the college level and beyond.

My biggest challenge in life is the adjustments that I have had to make in order to be successful and in order to compete at higher levels of the game while achieving academic success. I have been able to do so thanks to my parents and thanks to the current team I’m playing for. I have had to learn to work harder and to train harder. I have become more disciplined and committed to my success on and off the field. Some unique characteristics about me are that I am respectful, willing to work hard, and able to accept correction and discipline. Overall, I would be a dedicated, passionate, and coachable student-athlete with the desire and will to succeed if given the opportunity.
