I study in what is considered one of the top college preparatory schools in the Island. It is a very competitive environment in both academics and sports. This has allowed me to develop a balance and discipline in both areas so that I can be successful in both sports and academics without sacrificing one for the other.
I also believe that I have developed good qualities as a person, such as: good judgment, empathy, and a desire to help others. My family has always taught me the importance of good values and respect, and I practice these every day. I keep my word and tend to my responsibilities and am willing to make sacrifices along the way. I am also a team player.
My goal is to attend a college or university that fosters a correct balance between academic achievement and excellence in sports. A place where I can seek both and acquire the tools to build a promising future for myself, to become a leader, and to contribute to society.
Academically speaking, I consider myself to be different from most of my friends. I like math and everything that involves analytical thinking.
I am passionate about baseball and have played the game since I was five years old. I have good fielding skills, a good arm, and good batting contact. I like to listen, watch closely, and practice my coaches’ recommendations. Baseball has taught me about discipline and has allowed me to establish my priorities.
