Christian Campanella '23 Recruiting Profile

My name is Christian Campanella, I am a RHP/middle infielder and I am going into my senior year (class of 2023) at Ponaganset High School this year.  I am a dedicated, passionate and hard-working student and athlete, and I value my schoolwork and athletics, and always give 100% to both.

Over the past year or so, I have been working with coaches Jeff Larosa and Joe Vigeant on all aspects of my game and have seen major improvements.  This year I want to work even harder because I know there is always room for improvements.  I was chosen as my team's MVP this past year, and was also selected 1st team all-division.  My batting average this past high school season was .388 while I was also pitching and throwing multiple complete games.  Some of my strengths include being a two way player, I am able to know my role very well on any team, and although I am primarily a pitcher/middle infielder, I am able to field multiple other positions in the infield (including third base, shortstop, second base, first base and pitcher).

I just finished playing for my team in Connie Mack and I ended the season hitting .428 and holding a 1.33 era.  I keep myself busy, playing year-round on multiple teams including the ponaganset chieftains which is coached by Anthony Parrillo, Williams and Stuart Connie Mack, and I am expecting to play for a team this fall. I expect to continue the same progress this year.
