Michael Hampson '19 Recruiting Profile

My name is Michael J Hampson. I am a 4 sport athlete. I play and start on the Pilgrim High School freshman basketball team, also was the QB and offensive captain of the Freshman Football team. In November 2014 I received my Black Belt in Kenpo at Nick Cerio's. I have studied martial arts since I was 5 years old and continue to do so in between seasons.  My true passion is baseball. in 2014 my Warwick PAL baseball team won 3 games in 24 hours to win the RI State Championship and advance to the regionals in Newtown Connecticut.  I have made All Stars in baseball for 5 consecutive years, and always a starter. I bat left, throw right and hit lead off. In 2015 I stole 37 bases, including home twice. My biggest asset is my speed, I can run down fly balls as well as great range in infield. I look forward to learning more about the college level recruiting over the next couple years and being exposed to as many coaches and schools who may be interested in me. I am a team player, very coach able and take my playing very serious. I train at the RI baseball Institute every winter/off season for the last several years.
