Jason Babcock '26 Recruiting Profile

I have been playing baseball continuously since I was three years old, and I absolutely love everything about the game. I have played all positions in the last 15 years, but my current focus is catching, outfield and pitching. I grew up in California playing Pony Baseball and travel ball. Since moving to Texas in 2023, I have joined the Cooperstown Cobras select team and play for Liberty Christian School in Argyle, Texas.

Sports are a large part of my life. I have played baseball, basketball, football, soccer, field hockey, and golf. I am currently a two-sport athlete, playing baseball and football, but baseball is my love, my passion. I have been blessed with height, speed, exceptional eye hand coordination, leadership, mental toughness and high baseball IQ.

Last football season I was awarded by Jason Witten with the Liberty Christian School’s Warrior Heart Award. This award is a school tradition given by the coaches to a player whose make up and character exemplifies leadership and goes above and beyond no matter what the circumstance.

My goal is to play baseball for a school that sets high academic standards and exemplifies baseball. I am a leader on and off the field who leads by example. I have a driven and strong work ethic. One that focuses on athletic performance, academic success, minimal social media, and surrounding myself with amazing people. I am a team player, whose focus is to build my skills and those of my teammates to achieve greatness. As a player, I am very coachable, I take feedback openly, and I work hard every day to drive a positive impact for me and my team. I am a utility player who is excited about the opportunity to join an amazing baseball family in college.
