Personal Statement
UPDATE:
I’ve been attending Santa Barbara City College during Covid class of 2020. The good news is because they cancelled the season, I have all years of eligibility left. This summer I was asked to pitch in the Gold Coast Collegiate League for Tom Meyers’ Coastal Cubs. I had some really good outings. College is going well and I really enjoy college life in Santa Barbara. My goal this year is to continue to improve my craft, continue to make great grades and find a quality 4 year to transfer into. I just want to play baseball and make a meaningful contribution to the program while getting my college degrees in business.
Summer/FALL 2019: I’m Perfect Game ranked #125 RHP in Texas
This summer I played with the Canes organization. I made the All Tourney Team for pitching at Perfect Game BCS in Florida. Biggest highlight was pitching two innings in relief against Canes National. 4K 1BB 1 hit 0RS at Wilson Premier in FL.
Fall: put on 12 pounds, sitting mid to high 80’s. Working with former MLB pitcher David Pauley on velo and improving my slider and change up. The goal is to touch 90+ by Spring and weigh 185.
2019 Season:
Lake Travis High School went on to play for the State title in 6A division! We came in 3rd place overall, two of our players were first round draft pick Brett Baty and 2nd rounder Jimmy Lewis. We played late into the summer-ball season and I rejoined my club in Florida and then Atlanta.
Summer highlight for me was pitching against Canes National 17U and striking out the side and two others including Brandon Eike (an NC commit), looking. My 2seam, change up, slider and curve ball worked very well this summer. Overall I sat 83-85. Currently weight 175 @ 5’11 and just turned 17 in July. Updates pitching stats coming soon.
I made the Varsity squad at Lake Travis and gained 18 pounds over the off season, increased my velocity on the mound and I'm developing a slider and improving my change up I am looking to be recruited as a pitcher in college. I will continue to update this section as the season progresses.
Being named "Pitcher of the Year 2018" this past year at Lake Travis, a nationally ranked high school program in Austin, Texas has been a personal goal and honor. I set my sights over the summer to improve my game, gaining weight and pitching to some very competitive teams.
There is no doubt my work ethic will continue to allow me opportunities to improve as a ball player and as a student on and off the field. I also love learning new things and teaching others too. I look forward to playing in college and beyond.
