My name is Tristan Menchaca, I am 15 years old and go to Centennial High School in Burleson, Texas. Playing ball at the collegiate level is a goal that I am incredibly passionate about. I found my love of the game when I was 4 years old and my greatest desire is to play the game at the next level. Baseball has offered me so many amazing opportunities, like starting at short in the Select 30, and it has connected me with phenomenal coaches and players along the way that I look up to as role models. I currently play travel ball for Dallas Mustangs (15u Sharp) and we are about to start up our summer tournament schedule which I am really looking forward to after my first high school season was cut short due to COVID-19. I am incredibly dedicated to the game and feel my greatest strengths are fielding with quick hands and a strong arm and I am quick around the bases. Baseball is a game of precision, timing and focus and I am always looking for ways to challenge myself to become the strongest and best player I can possibly be.
When it comes to school, I am currently hoping to stay somewhere in Texas but out of state wouldn't necessarily be a definite no. Right now I am planning to major in biology and one day become a doctor of veterinarian medicine, however, my major may change over the course of my high school career.
