Josiah Williams '14 Recruiting Profile

My life long dream has been to play college baseball! To have my love and passion of playing baseball to pay for my college education is  the most important goal in my life right now second only to pleasing God.  I am a competitor in every thing I do, both on and off the field which is why I have a 3.87 GPA taking AP classes, am 7th in my  graduating class, and plan on becoming a dentist or doctor when I graduate from college. I am a leader ! This will be my 4th year starting on the varsity baseball team at our 4a school competing against 4a and 5a and even JC schools. I have played all over the west from California, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas on traveling teams already competing against some JC schools.  i am an athlete! Even though I am known as a hard throwing lefty pitcher I am also a strong batter with around a 400 average my three years on varsity, and hope to do even better this last year.  I have an excellent glove and play well at first base or outfield. I will play any where you can put a lefty. I am strong,quick, and disciplined!  I started my last two years on varsity football and played quarterback, receiver, and many other positions.  I was starting point guard in basketball until I quit to focus on baseball.  In fact, I love  all sports but baseball is my passion. I have been working hard and i will continue to work to aspire to these goals and do whatever it takes to play college baseball.  Lastly, I know I have great deal to learn and am very coachable and look forward to learning everything great coaches can teach me.  If you give me an opportunity to play on your team you will not be disappointed.
