My grandfather taught me to love baseball. He was the public address announcer for Texas A&M baseball for 30 years. When I was small, I would sit with him in the press box and admire the game, and over the years I have watched hundreds of innings while dreaming of one day becoming a collegiate player.
My goal is to be an asset to a college baseball program. Here’s what I bring:
Work Ethic – I work hard on and off the field. I love putting in time at the gym building strength, in the cages perfecting my swing and receiving, and when those are not open, I hit and throw in my garage. I also take my role as a student seriously. I am currently ranked second out of 580 students in my sophomore class at our 5A Texas high school.
Leadership – I am a leader for my team. As a catcher, I am vocal on the field. I know where the play is, and I encourage my teammates in real time. In the dugout, I am on my feet motivating my teammates. I also understand the importance of making good choices as a representative of my school and team. I will continue to be a person that my coaches are proud of.
Coachable – I am a coachable player. I readily absorb feedback and quickly adjust. My goal is to be the best player I can be for my team. I am flexible and always ready to fill any roles needed.
I look forward to finding the best fit to continue playing baseball.
