Ever since I first stepped on the diamond, I knew I wanted to continue my career to the collegiate level. I have a strong arm, very strong bat speed, a good baseball IQ, and move well athletically. I strive to be a leader on and off of the field by setting a good example and encouraging my peers. I'm very coachable and have an excellent work ethic.
My training ethic is extremely high. I am often the first player on the field and the last to leave the cages in the evening at my high school. One of my current high school coaches recently wrote the following about me in the classroom and on the field,
Micah is a great young man with a huge amount of potential. He shows compassion for his friends and family that doesn't go unnoticed by his teachers. He always shows a tireless effort on the baseball field and in the class. I’m glad I had him as a student and part of the baseball team. (Kris Slivocka)
As for travel baseball, I have been playing with ProSource Athletics since my first invitation to play on their 15U team. I have played with the same coach since that time. My team is their 18U Team, coached by Sean Henn.
I hope to major in business studies. I currently volunteer through my club baseball team and hope to find an academic path that will help me to continue to help others.
I am open to all options and opportunities to play baseball at the next level. I would like to attend a college that will not only challenge or push me athletically, but academically as well. My biggest goal is to find a college that is a good fit for me at the highest level of competition possible. I would like an opportunity to serve as a strong team leader, continue to develop into an impact player, and would like to continue to make those that have supported me through this process proud.
