Gregory Cardenas '14 Recruiting Profile

My name is Greg Cardenas, and I attend Burges High School in El Paso, Tx. I am 5'11" and weigh 210 lbs. I just finished my Junior year in high school. I started at first base as an eighth grader in the summer league with the Burges varsity squad. I have played varsity baseball for two years now at third and first base- third is my primary position.

My varsity team has won back-to-back district champs and bi-district champs. We went to the area championship and lost both times 2011-2012 and 2012-2013. I was named 1st team All-district at third base in 2013.

I have a strong work ethic on the field and in the classroom. During season and off-season, I focus on strength conditioning, and I like to challenge myself. I am a leader on the field, and I never settle for mediocrity.

I aspire to play at the next level in college. I want to excel in collegiate athletics as well as academically and become a well-rounded individual. My goal is to always better myself as a person.
