Even though I have never gone to the State Championship game, I never stopped trying to get better as a batter and as a player. I have learned after my Sophomore year that there will be a ton of obstacles that I as a player would have to overcome. In order for me to overcome this I would not only have to spend most of time on the field but also in my classes. However I never stopped training to get better and throughout district play I made a name for myself to all the other coaches we played against.
In the first Semester of my Sophomore year I strained my MCL, making me inactive for the first month of the second semester. As I was working on getting back and into shape I missed out on the first two scrimmages of the season. When I got back I had to work ten times as hard just to get a starting spot on the JV team. When Varsity's district played rolled around I saw that I was going to be stuck on JV for the season. So in the offseason I spent more time strengthening my knee, arm, bat, and speed.
