Baseball is an amazing game that has taught me many things. I have learned how to be mentally strong, to always want to do better, to never give up, and trust in myself. At the beginning of my 14u fall club season, my confidence took a big hit as I struggled with my hitting. As a highly competitive person, it was not an easy time, however, instead of focusing on what was going wrong I started focusing on what I was doing right. I also learned to trust in myself more because I knew I was a better hitter than what I was experiencing at the time. Although I struggled offensively, I knew I could still make an impact defensively and worked even harder to do just that.
I love the game of baseball. I love the amazing plays, the homeruns, the ninety plus per hour pitches, and the pros that inspire me to be better. Fortunately, I have supportive and involved parents and great coaches that are positive influences in my life. I believe because I have next level thinking in the game, a cool composure, and mental strengthen that I have what it takes to play college baseball. I look forward to building on my skills, stretching myself academically, and exploring my career path options while in high school.
