Personal Statement
My goals as a baseball player are to continue my academic and athletic career through college. I am a 5’10” 165 lbs athlete and would love to play at the next level. My dad was a pitcher in college and I would love to follow in his footsteps. Not only do I play baseball, I also play football and basketball at the varsity level. In the classroom I am an A and B student. I have a 4.85 gpa and I am ranked 15th in my class. On the field I am always trying to outwork my opponents and teammates. However, I try to make my teammates better for the team. I am always the first one at practice and last one to leave. I am the leader on the team always bringing positive energy to practice and games. Most of the time I am getting extra reps to improve my game. As a pitcher, I am always competing to the best of my abilities. I’m always trying to hit my spots and mix up different pitches. At the plate I am very competitive, always trying to get on base and never striking out. I would love to play college baseball around the state of Texas to stay closer to home. Although, if that doesn’t happen, I am willing to play wherever. I would love to play at a good level of competition to make myself better. As a freshman, I received new-comer of the year and as a sophomore I received co-defensive player of the year and MVP for my high school team. Before my junior season, I was honor to be chosen to the Corpus-Christi Hooks Pre-Season All-Star Team.
