Personal Statement

I am Zachary Carroll, and I am currently a Sophomore at Holliday High School in Holliday, Texas.  My collegiate goals and aspirations are to find a college that meets my academic needs while also being able to play baseball at the collegiate level.  Academically, my high GPA and classroom work ethic is what sets me apart from other recruits.  I was 4th in my class at Holliday Middle School and I am continuing that high standard so far through the first half of my Sophomore year.  What sets me apart from other recruits athletically is my ability to put the ball in play and use my speed to get on base and take the extra base when the play allows.  Also, I believe my speed helps me defensively when making a play in the hole, or tracking down fly balls in the outfield.  Lastly, being able to pitch effectively; being able to get on base and move runners over; and being competitive is what sets my character apart from other recruits.
