Michael Fordham '19 Recruiting Profile

Baseball has been a big part of my life since I can remember. When I was younger, like a lot of kids, I enjoyed a lot of success based off natural talent. But, as I've gotten older, it has kicked in what it takes to be great and stay great as a baseball player. It takes a great deal of hard work, whether that is in the weight room, in the cages, or on the field conditioning. I've been so blessed to be around so many coaches, trainers, and mentors who have made it to some of the highest levels of baseball that have pushed me in this whole journey. My goal is to further my education while playing the game I love in college at a high level as well as growing as a man and leader in the process. I take the same attitude into the classroom as I do on the field or in the weight room: extreme focus. I know how important it is to get a college education because when it's time to hang up the spikes, I'm going to need my degree to continue being a productive man. Getting the opportunity to play college baseball will present its many benefits but also throw adversity your way. I am ready and prepared to embrace all of it.
