I have played baseball since I was 4 years old. My older brother began at the age of 3. I watched him play a couple of years and could not wait to get on the field. I have played baseball year round since 8 years old. This season will be a transition time for me as I am giving up basketball despite playing varsity as a sophomore. I feel it is time to focus on one sport and my true passion has always been baseball. I have had great success traveling the country with my family playing baseball. This is what we do. I have played in Cooperstown and made the quarterfinals. Made it to within 1 game of the Intermediate Level World Series losing in the final in Colorado. Summer travel team to Florida for finals. Winning is fun.
As a player that is still maturing physically I have occasionally been overlooked. This has inspired me to give the extra effort on and off the field that has led to my success. I did not stop at athletics. I have 4.42 GPA and currently taking all AP and Advanced classes with the exception of Ceramics. I am interested in a college with a strong academic environment and a competitive baseball program.
Craig Biggio coached at my High School during my brother's freshman year on the team. I always hung out at the field whenever I could to learn more. One day he asked me what is the most important position on the team? As a shortstop all my life, I was inclined to answer my position. His answer was the position you are playing. I took that response to heart and feel privileged every time I put on a uniform.
