My goal is to attend a school that will offer me a great education as well as a chance to be a part of successful baseball team. While I love baseball and aspire to succeed at it, I realize that my education should come first. I hope to major in Business Finance or Economics. My parents have instilled the importance of this in me. I attend Strake Jesuit College Preparatory school in which every student strives to be a "Man for Others". This involves volunteering in the community, participating in community events, and learning how to be a leader. I have worked hard at baseball most of my life. I played other sports, but my love for baseball led me to commit all of my time to it. I have played many positions - in fact I have played every position at some point in my baseball career. One year I played catcher when our team needed one, even though I had never played there before. I have always loved pitching and was made the P1 on my JV team my sophomore year. I was brought up to Varsity at the end of the season and hope to be a top pitcher on varsity as a junior. I have been working out with a pitching coach and going through a velocity program to get my speed up to be successful. I am a good student despite the time I spend on the baseball field and gym. I know that being successful in baseball requires organizational skills and dedication in the classroom as well as on the field. I am a team player in all aspects and I strive to be a leader and role model to my younger teammates.
