Dear Coaches,
I am an excellent candidate for your team because I am accustomed to practicing daily and I play baseball year round. I play in high school and with the Houston Legends select team. I have several tournaments scheduled this summer and I will play summer high school baseball. I am very dedicated to what I do because baseball has always been a part of my life. My dad used to play softball in a very competitive league and I never missed a game. He has always done everything with 100+% effort and I strive to do the same . As a kid he had no other option but to play sandlot baseball in an abandoned lot and when he slid into base he cut his leg so bad that he ended up with a 10 inch scar. I am extremely grateful of the fact that I have good fields to practice and play on and so I take advantage of it. Baseball has become a passion for me. I study ways that I can improve and I practice what I have read and what I have been taught by my trainers. I am a different from other ball players because of my dedication to not only baseball but to my family responsibilities and my community. I volunteer in helping challenged children play baseball for the Austin Rieniets Memorial League in (Humble Baseball Association). I see how much it has helped children and their parents and I see that my life is not complicated at all. I feel that I should help out because I am able to do so. I am very interested in Engineering; my father is an engineer and I have been exposed to this field of study since I was very young. I aspire to earn a degree in Engineering but I am also very interested in Exercise Physiology and Nutrition. As an athlete there are many different ways out there to keep fit and fuel your body but choosing the healthiest can be challenging if you don't do your homework. I am very confident that I will be a valuable member of any team I join whether it be a class, a baseball team or a company.
Thank you,
Nicholas Casas
