Bryce Barnes '24 Recruiting Profile

My name is Bryce Barnes and I am a senior at Livingston High School in Livingston, TX. I am a four-year starting varsity letter. My primary position is 2nd base & outfield although, there is not a position on the field that I cannot play and have not played at some point throughout the years. My versatility is strong infield and outfield. Aside from versatility, one of my strongest assets is speed. With a 3.6 first to home and a 6.6 60-yard dash, stealing bases is a challenge that I love to face. Any of the strengths I possess I work hard to set higher standards and goals for myself to better serve my teammates. My resilience in any situation or under any circumstance allows me the ability to push forward with full potential and positivity. I truly believe that if you are not mentally capable of adjusting, it does not matter how well you physically perform. The work ethic I portray is not just a habit that I have picked up along the way but rather it is a value that has been instilled in me. It is a way of life for me, an unwavering testimony of who I am. Without the values that are branded in me, my talents would be nothing. My physical abilities are just a plus— who I am and what makes up me is the reason my talents can move and grow at unmatched levels. This is what sets me apart. I am ready to learn, grow, and improve at the next level at which I can expand my talents and abilities. I am a work in progress and hopefully always will be and I am ready to push my talents, abilities, and skills to the next level. As I anticipate the future, I see College baseball as the perfect place to continue my growth with values of hard work, dedication, and excellence. 

When I'm not on a field somewhere playing baseball, I love to attend my local church, fish, hunt, and spend time with my family & friends.
