Thanks for visiting my profile. I have joined the Lovejoy high school baseball team as a freshman on the freshman team. I am happy with that because i will get plenty of playing time. I pitch and play centerfield and usually sit only one inning a game. My high school coach says I’ll spend a lot of time on the mound this season. I’m looking forward to the season.

Hello.
My name is Foster and I love to play baseball. I am in 8th grade and have had some great coaches over the past two years which have worked to bring out the best I can be. One of my coaches says I am teachable and thats important. I try to listen and learn and coaches introduce me to advanced concepts. I have one coach who works for Austin college and helps me with pitching. My middle school track coaches help me with speed.
This Summer, I will guest play on a 17U/18U team as a pitcher.
I have tried other sports (soccer, track and cross country) and although I am still involved in track and cross country, soccer was not for me. I am glad I tried it because it gave me a comparison to baseball. I can say I know what I like and don't like. When it comes to baseball, I understand the game, the positions, the stats and the strategy. It comes naturally to me.
I know there will always be better players than me but I have a God given talent that works well with baseball. I have learned patience and leadership, courage and confidence. My coach says that when I am on the mound, he can see the rest of the team relax. My coach says that is a sign that my team has confidence in me.
I need to work on strength training and pitching velocity. So far the fastest I have thrown was 75mph. I was told I have very good mechanics and that allows me to pitch longer than others. I know that when I start missing high, I am getting tired because I am no longer using my legs. I try to correct it but it doesn't always work.
I find school easy except for algebra. I have all A's and one B, (89).
I enjoy playing online video games. I get along with my school friends and stick up for smaller kids. My Dad says I am laid back like my Mom. I have an older sister and a dog.
Last summer we went to the Gulf Shores World Series baseball tournament and won our division. It was great to have my family there to watch. The one thing I look for in a baseball team is the desire to win.
Thank you for taking time to find out about me. I will continue to update my story as new things develop.
