Losing my mother to cancer when I was 10 years old gave me a perspective on life that many people don’t realize until much later. It taught me that nothing is guaranteed, and every moment matters. In many ways, life is like baseball. You can prepare, train, and give it everything you have, but sometimes, things don’t go your way. A bad hop, a tough call, or an unexpected challenge can change everything in an instant. But just like in baseball, success isn’t about avoiding failure, it’s about how you respond.
That mindset has shaped me both on and off the field. As an athlete, I take pride in my work ethic, always looking for ways to improve and push myself beyond my limits. I don’t shy away from competition; I embrace it. As a student, I challenge myself academically, especially in math, where I thrive on problem-solving and discipline. But what truly separates me is my character. I believe in leading by example, being a great teammate, and staying grounded in my faith, which keeps me focused on my goals and the bigger picture.
I’m looking for a collegiate program that values not just talent, but hard work, leadership, and perseverance. I want to be part of a team that challenges me to grow as an athlete and as a person. I’m ready to bring my passion, dedication, and drive to the next level, and I’d love the opportunity to contribute to your program.
