Garrett Merryfield '18 Recruiting Profile

This is Garrett D. Merryfield. My goal is to be the best player/teammate I can be. I hope to play D1 baseball, and eventually the big leauges. I'm not all about that talk, I'm a very humble kid and stay on my game. I'm always confident at my approach to the pitch or the next play. I give 110% effort on the field and just love having fun with my coaches and teammates. To me its important being with teammates that hopefully have the same goals that I have. What I strive for is just a fun, challenging thing. You have got to love your teammates - man they make the game so much fun. I love and have soo much passion for the game of baseball. I am currently a sophmore in high school, and made all A's this first semester. Every college/pro scout I have talked with say academics is the most important thing getting into a D1 school. So I make sure I stay on my school work, game, and strive for greatness. "Work hard, stay humble."
