Personal Statement

I'm just a kid who would love to play ball at the collegiate level. I feel like I'm someone who really gives it everything I've got, and I do the best I can day in and day out. Even though I understand how tough it is to play at the next level, I feel I have the talent and the heart to do so. Also, I am a very mature and responsible person for my age as I understand the importance of academics and the impact it has on ones' life. As a person, I have the ability to connect with and work together with my peers and my teammates. I try to be a leader both on and off of the field. I, of course, always have a great respect for my coaches.

ActivitiesI am really active in my free time, and I feel I am always out playing basketball, volleyball, football, or golf when not in school or playing baseball. With that said, when I am not actively playing sports, I do enjoy spending time teaching and mentoring younger kids about the game of baseball and showing them how amazing the game can be. I have a younger neighbor and cousin who are really becoming interested in baseball so I have spent quite some time teaching them the basics and giving them tips to improve their game. This past year, I spent some time helping out with the PALS program at my school. I really enjoyed it and so I enrolled in the program for my Junior year. I also enjoy coming up with new concepts for games. I even submitted one of my ideas to a business who then provided me with feedback on how to move forward with getting my idea copyrighted and manufactured. It is still in it's early stages, but I am hopeful something will come of it.
