Personal Statement
I was blessed to be born a south paw. When I was younger, I always had to think that much harder about what a coach was telling me because it was opposite of what I did. This taught me how to analyze baseball at a very young age. Now that I'm older, I believe that I play the game smarter not harder. I am always thinking ahead as a pitcher and as a first baseman to determine where my play should be. I have found that this ability also helps me be a successful student athlete. Being a three sport athlete can be hard at times, but I know the student part is just as important, if not more so than, the athlete part ( even if the athlete part is more fun.) I am able to think ahead and manage what I need to do both on the field and off. I am planing to go into engineering, and I know that it is a very demanding field. I am looking for a school that can challenge me both in my field of study and on the baseball field.
