My passion in baseball is pitching. I have 6 pitches, and have great success locating my pitches for lots of ground outs or fly outs. But, I also recorded 97 Strikeouts in a single season this year, and made the THSB Top 200 Stat list for 2A two years in a row now. I have started on my Varsity Team as a pitcher both my Freshman and Sophomore years, played left field, second base, & third base, and batted second & fourth in our lineup. We made the playoffs for the first time in 19 years my Freshman year, and won Bi-District for the first time in over 20 years this past season. I pitched our only Win in the Area Contest vs Tom Bean. This year, I was named Region 10-2A District Co-Defensive MVP & Nocona Indian Co-MVP of the team and Academic All-District. My Freshman year, I received Pitcher of the Year honors, 2nd Team All District Pitcher, and Academic All District Honors. During our Awards Banquet, my AD commented, “If you’ve seen him play Baseball, you know his mental toughness and determination are unmatched”. For my Summer Select Teams, I have been playing up a level or two as a PO. My stats tend to be some of the highest on the team, even though my velocity isn’t the highest. I know how to compete, even with runners on base, and love the challenge of being on the mound in those situations. I am interested in playing baseball at the next level after high school, but just beginning to explore that possibility. Being from a small school, I also played quarterback for our JV Football Team & have played point guard and wing for our basketball teams. I take the most pride, however, in my academic success, ranked 2nd in my class with a 4.45 GPA. My academic goal is to graduate as Valedictorian or Salutatorian of my class in 2027. I received Top Student Honors in Math, Science, & Biology this year, and was a Regional Qualifier for Accounting. I was also selected as 6th, 7th, & 8th Grade male Student of the Year throughout Middle School, as a result of my character traits, positive behavior, and study habits. I attend Bethel Baptist Church, and enjoy keeping up with pro-player stats in all professional sports. I also umpired for our local Nocona Youth Sports League this Spring. I’m not very established on Social Media, as my parents are very protective of that. However, my Mom is on Facebook and posts about me on her account.
