Personal Statement
My name is Ryan Sosa and I am a 6-foot tall, 185-pound catcher from the class of 2021. My sophomore year, I was the starting varsity catcher and led my team in RBIs and had the second highest batting average.
One of my proudest accomplishments of the year was being voted District 21-5A Defensive Player of the Year. This success gave me the confidence to be a team leader, to grow, and set high goals for myself as a player.
Academically, I have a strong record with a 4.2 GPA and a class rank of 23 out of 362 students. I will strive to maintain and improve my GPA and my goal is to graduate in the top 5 percent of my class.
As a dual-sport athlete I have a strong work ethic, dedication, and I love to compete. I want to surround myself with good, Christian athletes and coaches who have high ethical standards in life and sports.
I know I have a lot to offer a baseball program and will immediately make a positive impact on your team. I am a player that will lead by example and I am fully aware that I will never stop learning and loving the game. I would like to earn the opportunity to play baseball and compete at the next level.
