Hi, my name is Jack Payne and I'm a RHP part of the class of 2019 and Central Catholic High School in San Antonio, TX. My aspirations and goals for college are to become the best baseball player I can be. Whether it's at a Division I, Division II, etc. I just want to be the best I can be and become prepared for life after college, whatever that may hold. I'm a very coachable player with a lot to contribute to a team besides just skill on the baseball field. I'm a natural leader and love to encourage others to do their best. My academics are pretty good with a 3.4 cumulative gpa my freshman year. On the athletics side I'm 6'2" and still growing, and 220 lbs. My secondary pitch is a changeup which I am able to locate well to use as a putout pitch. My other pitches are a cutter, which runs very well, and a curveball that I use primarily as an 0-2 or 1-2 pitch. I have been told by many people that the ball "explodes" out of my hand. This summer I was selected to play in the San Antonio area All-Star Team. I'm comfortable with any role on a team as I have been a starter, long reliever, setup, and closer all before.
