Caleb Crider '25 Recruiting Profile

I have enjoyed playing multiple sports at an extremely competitive and large high school, where talent is overflowing and excellence is expected.   I played Football, Basketball, & Baseball for Reagan HS my Freshman year and was on Club Baseball, Basketball and Swim Teams throughout the year.  I now concentrate on HS Basketball and Baseball and continue to play Club Basketball with Nike Pro Sklls and Club Baseball with the South Texas Sliders and transitioning from swim team to Life Guarding and volunteering on Swim Team this summer.   I come from a family of athletes and baseball has always played a central role -  from Little League, Club ball and now High School ball.  The hard work and competitiveness required for each sport have all contributed to my work ethic and help me to strive to be the best on and off the field.  I have managed to perform consistently at a high level academically, athletically, and socially in my community responsibilities.  I have had many different influences and coaches throughout the years and high school has been exciting with high expectations and tons of talent.  Although the season just started, the time that went into the off season has prepared me to play up on the JV A team and also work out with Varsity.    I hope to continue that trajectory and play for a great coach and earn the chance to pay him and the school back with my hard work and performance on the field and in the classroom. 

My goal is to Win and to do my part to ensure that we reach that goal.  I work hard on and off the field to improve my skills and will bring that work ethic to my next team and lead by example.  I understand what it takes to play a key role on a successful team and I am preparing myself daily to compete at the next level by maintaining positive attitude, communicating effectively, working hard, and giving myself the room to grow.  This is a combination of patience and dedication, which is sometime difficult to balance.  

I can contribute to my next team and many different factets and I will bring  the same values I have displayed in my family, at school, on my teams and in my community.  I am active in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and I also volunteered hundreds of hours in my community and earned the rank of Eagle Scout.  I have followed and I have led, and I know it takes the ability to do both to succeed.
