My name is Malikai Wickley and my goal is to play baseball at the collegiate and professional level. I am willing to put in whatever work is necessary to acheive that goal. I currently have a 4.73 GPA and work hard to maintain my academic standing. I scored a 1260 on my PSAT. This summer I was given the opportunity to play with the best baseball players in the world, playing in the WWBA, USA baseball National Championships, and other various tournaments across the country. Through this process, I was selected as an alternate for the 15u National Team with USA Baseball. I played varsity baseball at TMI and recently transferred to Reagan High school. I play football and baseball. This summer truly showed me that if I wanted to continue my dreams, I need to put in the work. This has put my work ethic on overdrive. What truly seperates me from other recruits is my work ethic, passion for the game, and my commitment to anything that I am doing. I will outwork anyone to achieve my dreams, and this sings true in the classroom, baseball field, football field, and other areas. I love baseball, and it has been my dream to play in the major leagues since I was five. This dream has sparked a larger fire recently as I have been exposed to the players on the national scale and realized the work needed to become the best player that I can be. I feel like college sets me up for success in both baseball and academically to have an acellerated path in the minor leagues and to have a degree for after baseball. I know I have what it takes to play at the next level. My drive to play baseball and my commitment to working hard and to the game is unmatched.
