Cody Crowder '16 Recruiting Profile

Ever since I could talk and knew what baseball was, playing at the college level has been my dream.. I know that playing baseball in college is a blessing that will change my life completely..

As team leader for my high school and summer travel team, I strive to be the hardest working player on the field, so that everyone around me plays to their full potential. I am a come early and stay late type of player and firmly believe that Hard Work Pays Off. Since I was young and through Showcase ball I have predominantly played 2nd base as my natural position but over the past 3 years I have been moved wherever on the infield my coach needed the glove.

In the classroom, I study hard and maintain a high GPA, one high enough to be in the top 5% of my class. My whole life I have been to, and worked at baseball camps. Camps coached by players like Cal Ripken Jr. and I have dedicated my whole life to baseball. I was recently selected for the National Honor Society, and elected President of our FFA chapter.

I want to attend a college where I can get a quality education, and play at a competitive level. I am open to all colleges, and appreciate your time.  I hope to become a great role model to all of my friends, and youth around my town. I am striving to make everyone who has helped me get this far, proud.

I am entering my Senior Year and have been a 3 year starter. All District at 2nd base my Sophomore year and 1st Team All District Utility Player in Junior Year where I  played 2nd for 7 games, SS for 6 games, Catcher for 7 games, 3rd for 5 games and 1st for 4 games and even pitched a little. I have done the same this Summer traveling all around Texas Showcase Tournaments and played every position on the field on a team where 9 out of the 12 players will be playing college ball.
