2022 Spotlight #2
2022 SpotlightI began playing baseball (T-Ball) when I was 4 years old. I knew I always loved the game, but when I made my first All-Star team at age 6, it was then I knew that I might truly have a gift for this sport. In this game, I have learned that nothing is given, and with hard work comes rewards. Even with every obstacle faced, I have never lost my love for this game. I have learned many lessons over the years: hard work, teamwork, triumphs, losses, and overcoming failures but most of all I have learned more about myself and how diligent I am to become the best person/player I can be.
My goals for college, are to continue to find myself as an athlete and a student, meet new people, and begin a new path in life. What makes me a good candidate is that I have learned throughout the years to have a good healthy balance between my scholarly work, giving time to baseball and training, extra-curricular activities I love (band/percussion player), family, and friends while maintaining a 3.3 GPA. I am a determined but levelheaded student who stays out of trouble.
Lastly what makes me different from other recruits is that my heart is truly set on becoming the best baseball player I can be, no matter what college I end up in, I want to make a positive impact on the team. I have good morale; I am a highly motivated young man who wants to make an impact but who also wants to be impacted by experience. I will take any critique and/or criticism and making them into learning opportunities, because that is a major part of life, learning. That is what I seek in every aspect of life.
