I play on the National German Team and have played in many countries in the world. I played baseball in Germany for 14 months. This gave me a lot of experience in baseball and in life. From those 14 months I have matured as a man and I learned when it's time to get serious. I lived in a college enviorment on my own in a country where I was speaking a secondary language. I even passed the school year with no issues, which was not easy because everything was in German. I also learned about work ethics, that going the extra step and putting in more work really makes a difference. I would show up 2hrs before practice to get one-on-one practice with a coach. These pratices made me go from good to better.
Now that I am back in the states (I am a sophomore) I am already ahead of other players with regards to functioning in a college environment. I now play at a higher level than kids my age. I believe if I were to play at a level such as college or higher I would be more dominant just because of the way I handle school and sports. I plan on using my experience to become a leader on my school team, club team, and later college team.
