Michael Castro '23 Recruiting Profile

My name is Michael and I go to Venus High in Texas. I will be graduating high school in the Spring of 2023 at the age of 17.   My love for the game started at the age of three when I discovered I could throw a ball and hit a tiki torch with consistent accuracy. My parents put me on a team from that point on and I never stopped playing. My years of playing have taught me so much and helped me to help others.  Though there have been some bumps in the road and I've tried other sports my heart has always been with baseball. I've played all in field positions throughout little league but my coaches see my natural talent  to see a  ball down the line and read a ball off of a bat from 3rd base. I do very well  when it comes to batting and have a lot of movement and accuracy with my ball as a pitcher. Bonding with my team and coaches and building strong relationships is something I love about baseball. Im hoping to join a college where I can continue to grow and be molded by a college level coach while also getting an education for a solid career. I look forward to an opportunity to follow my dreams where I can make my parents, coaches and teammates proud.
