My name is Evan Larrazolo and I have been playing baseball my whole life. Ever since I picked up the ball at five years old, I’ve loved the game. That pop of the glove and ping of the bat when you hit ball just right mesmerized me. I’m a diehard Yankees fan so they have influenced my position choices, however my brother convinced me to be a catcher when I was in machine pitch. I loved the unpredictability of the machine and the risk of missing the ball. When I got to kid pitch though, it was a little too unpredictable. I eventually got back into catching in 11U, when pitchers were getting more control. I started pitching around 2019 and I was influenced by one of my favorite pitcher CC Sabathia. I love baseball and I hope to make it into the professional level. I’ve stopped catching sophomore year and focused more on pitching. I’m developing into a sinker/slider pitcher with a splitter and 4-seam as well. My goal is to be on a college team where I can make a difference in the pitching staff.
