Daxton Miller '25 Recruiting Profile

Hi, my name is Daxton.  I just graduated from  Panguitch High School in southern Utah and just finished a very successful season of high school baseball.  Our team won the state championship and I was voted Utah player of the year.  My school is small and my town is tiny.  I think it is a little harder to get recognized  being from a small school with a class of less than 40.  However, I believe I have what it takes to make it at the next level.  As a freshman I was the DH for our varsity team hitting over .500 for the season.  This past season I was able to put up a .551 average with 15 doubles, 2  triples and 2 home runs.  As a four year varsity starter my batting average was above .500 all but one year.   I work hard and am blessed with speed and a good arm.  I was named mid Utah player of the week at least twice in my career and deseret news athlete of the week as well which is an state wide award I received competing against athletes of all sports.  I also was named first team all-state baseball my junior year and Utah player of the year for this season.   

I love baseball, but I understand that alone doesn't set me apart.  I'm good at baseball which I also understand doesn't set me apart.  What might set me apart is that I am well rounded.  At 6'3" and a 60 time as a 16 year old of 6.83 I have excelled defensively in center field and on the bases.  My hope is to prove to collegiate programs that good players can come from small schools.  My hard work will continue and baseball will allow me to get a college degree while playing the sport I love.
