Sean Moriarty '25 Recruiting Profile

I am Sean Moriarty, a Mount Anthony Union High School senior in Bennington, Vermont. My journey with baseball began at the age of five in Little League, and I am now entering my third year on varsity this senior year, primarily playing center outfield. This sport has been a significant part of my life, shaping my character and teaching me the value of dedication and perseverance. 

    My game is about more than just hitting and running. It's about leadership. I have a knack for driving the ball at a high exit velocity and stealing bases, which is evident from my fourteen stolen bases last varsity regular season. But beyond these statistics, my leadership on the field truly sets me apart. I actively assist my coaches with drills, support my teammates, and stay after practice to help them improve their game. This is particularly true for younger players, who I guide and mentor, as they are eager to learn and respond well to coaching. 

    Throughout the year, I work very hard on my skills as a player. I play for my high school team and my legion team. When I am not in one of my seasons, I progress my skills through practice and weight training, which is something at which I excel. I have a bench press of 315 lbs, weighing only around 195 lbs at 6 '1. 

    My dedication to learning is evident in my academic achievements. I work hard to maintain my 3.8 GPA while also being a member of the National Honors Society, Spanish Honors Society, and MAU Nation. I also find time to give back to my community, volunteering at my church, St. Francis de Sales Church. These accomplishments are a testament to my ability to balance my athletic and academic pursuits. 

    I aim to attend a college where I can excel in all aspects of my life. I am eager to work hard at athletics, academics, and everything else that is important to me. I aim to receive a BS in Exercise Science and help lead my baseball team to victory while also being a good influence and role model to the people around me.
