Josh Cochran '27 Recruiting Profile

Hello,

My name is Josh and I love baseball more than anything.  I am also a good student, lately becoming more interested in science.  I am looking forward to college and furthering my baseball career at the next level.

I dropped other sports at the beginning of high school to focus on baseball, in hopes of playing as long as possible.  It has been my favorite thing in life since my first practice in first grade.  I work hard on and off the field to get better and try to never make the same mistake twice.  I have played any position available, despite being left-handed. However, pitching is my biggest strength.  I am strategic and I have a dominant mentality on the mound.  I work hard on every pitch with every batter no matter what the score is.  I am primarily a starting pitcher due to my stamina on the mound, but I am ready to pitch whenever needed.  

I love to learn the game and also how the body works.  I listen to feedback and enjoy being on a team with different personalities.  I'll play anywhere I get the chance, but am hoping to be part of a baseball program that is positive, hard-working, and where the players feel part of something important.
