Entering a new, just-built high school as a sophomore, where everything was new and no one knew each other, is the highlight of my high school career. The struggles of building a school's culture truly showed my junior year, when we had a brand new coach step in and change our first coach's routines. Having new two new coaching staffs in two years really taught me how to be a leader and how to develop myself as a player who wants to play at the next level.
During my high school tenure thus far, my team has struggled with the win-loss column and have not made the playoffs. However, we have become a more cohesive and cooperative team. A lot of my development as a student-athlete came from our morning workouts and afternoon hitting sessions, and through this I learned the meaning of true commitment, time-management, and sacrifice. Academics are very important to me, and being a balanced student-athlete is something I value highly. I think I have the ability to play college baseball and also immediately impact a program with my leadership and learning skills. Being a five-time captain and a life-long baseball player, I have the ability to significantly impact your program!
