Jeff Sonneman '19 Recruiting Profile

I am an outfielder from Brewster,Washington I have played in some big games. Two World Series, highschool championship games and many other games that are very important. My college goals are to have good grades. Also, main goal is to increase my knowledge and while doing so get my college degree. I am not sure what I want to study, but whatever it is I decide to do I know I will try my best. In everything and anything relating to school. School is very important to me. Right know I want to be a police officer in a big city and hopefully one day become a detective. Why am I a good candidate for your team? Honestly, I can’t answer that. I will say that if I am on your team I am ambitious and willing to learn about the game of Baseball. Day in and day out. I pride myself for getting on base no matter what. Whether that be getting hit by pitches or getting walked and hard base hits and doubles. Occasionally that triple using my God given ability to run pretty well. What makes me different from recruits?  Hmm... I don’t know if this will answer that question. But I am a person that is willing to go to a coach and ask him what I need to do better as a player to see some playing time. I have done it before and I can do it again. I don’t judge coaches decisions. If I don’t play I look at myself and ask myself what I need to do better. What I need to get better at. I don’t blame people for my weakness, I just shut up and try to show them by turning it into one of my strengths. I pride myself on taking the blame for everything. Taking ownership of the punishment I deserve! I don’t know if there are a lot of students and athletes willing to do that. I just know I am one of them.
