JJ Valencia '15 Recruiting Profile

I enjoy the mental grind that the game of baseball provides. It is unlike any other sport, where the victors usually have the most mental fortitude in the end. I plan to continue playing the game I love for as long as I can while earning a degree setting me up for my future endeavors off the diamond. Earning a degree in Exercise Science would help me live my dream of becoming a strength coach at my very own gym. The class room is important to me because I will be able to apply what I have learned to my career field. Being raised by blue collar parents I have realized that it takes great effort, consistent action and a determined mind set to earn the things you want out of life. Whether it be a promotion in the workplace, a degree, or a starting spot on a team, you have to earn everything. Which ever task I am asked to do on that day, I plan to do it to the best of my abilities to help the team win.
