I started playing baseball when I was 3 years old. I played on a t-ball team and that's when I started to love it. I always had a bat and ball with me growing up. At 9 years old I tried out for my first traveling team and I made it. After I made that team that's when I started to work to get better at the game. I played baseball each year for that team and we traveled to many tournaments throughout our seasons. Going into 8th grade season, I wanted to get better, I wanted a greater challenge and that's when I tried out for the City Baseball Program and made the team. The year after I moved to the Cascade Baseball Club where I am playing now. I have many goals for myself, one of them is becoming the best I can be every time I train. I want to get better but one of my main goals is to become successful. My goal for high school is to work my hardest to get good grades to attend a four year university and play baseball. What I’ve learned over the years playing sports is that failing is part of succeeding and to learn from your mistakes, like Micheal Jordan once said “i've failed over and over and over again in my life and that is why I succeed.” Baseball has helped shape the person that I am today. For example, it has taught me to be tough, to be committed, be the hardest working player on the field and to never give up. That is why I want to keep playing this sport, not only because it is fun but because of all I learn from it.
