Hello- My name is Zayne Wilson; I am currently a junior and attend Pasco High School in Pasco, WA. I was born on March 27, 2002. I am currently 5'10" and 150 LBS. I am a right handed hitter and right handed thrower. My primary position is SS and my secondary position is pitcher, although I also play 2nd, third and corner outfield. I am very versatile, adapt quickly and can play just about anywhere. Quite simply I am a ball player. I love and respect the game of baseball. Since the age of five, I have played the game. I have had the opportunity to learn the game from many great coaches and teammates. I know without them I would not be the player that I am today. There is always more to learn. When I am not playing baseball or not in school, I enjoy playing basketball, working out and playing golf. I also like to fish and watch a good game on Sports Center. School and baseball take up most of my time. I try to lift three times a week with some fellow teammates from my high school team in the off-season. Over the winter months I do speed and agility training. I do take a break for about three weeks each summer to go on a family vacation. We have made it a goal to see every MLB park by the time I graduate, we are two away! My parents are very positive people they have always supported me in baseball that is one of the reasons I love playing so much. When it comes to college, I would like to major in education. If baseball does not work out, I would like to be a teacher or possibly a youth pastor. As far as my most important accomplishments, I have played varsity baseball since I was a sophomore in high school. At first, it was hard playing with players older than I was, but within no time I was part of the team I also think that experience will help me in college. In conclusion, I would like to assure all of the college coaches interested in me that I am a hard worker and a great teammate. I try to be a better student, baseball player and person every day. On the field, I communicate clear and loudly. Off the field I would say I am a little quieter than most. Coaches usually tell me that I am very coach-able and always open to listening to advice.
