Drake Live Game H...
January 2014One of my main goals in life is to always be improving and getting better at whatever I do. For my collegiate career I hope to better myself as a person, better my education, and become a better ball player.
Baseball has been my passion since I started playing when I was five years old. At age eight I started playing major/elite level travel baseball and have loved every minute. I have played every position at a competitive level but have settled into being primarily a third baseman/SP, although I remain comfortable at any position on the field. At a recent showcase, we were fortunate to be evaluated by pro scouts. This was the pro scout summary on me:
“"Hitting - Starts from open balance stance with head square. Hits from no stride approach with hands/hip action coordinated, Has bat speed and ball jumps, stays inside ball well, has overall lower half strength, Has a knack to barrel up balls. Can hit. Position Evaluation - Solid overall actions, consistent rhythm, hands and feet work together, has arm strength and throws are accurate and have carry. Solid body control.”
Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior and I strive to live for him daily. 1 Corinthians 10:31 says," So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God." I want to use the talents that God has given me to the best of my ability. Because Jesus gave his all for me I will always give my all in the classroom and on the field so I can glorify him.
I take a positive leadership role on the team. I am constantly encouraging my team mates and try to lead by example. My younger level club coach gave me the highest compliment years ago stating “he had a coach on the field” with me. I am always working out with baseball related drills and activities to hone and improve my skills.
My leadership, my desire to learn and improve, and my desire to win would be an asset to any team. I have attended numerous high level camps and showcases in the last 2 years and have learned from those experiences that my skills both defensively and offensively are at the highest levels and I can compete and be successful at the highest levels.
it has been said that "with great power comes great responsibility" to which I say "with great blessings come great responsibility". With elite abilities in the classroom and on the field, I strive to ensure I maximize my talents to serve my teammates, classmates and community in a way that provides service to all.
