Evan Theis '19 Recruiting Profile

I am a junior at Kettle Moraine Lutheran High School (KML)in Jackson, WI.  I have always been very athletic and have been competing in various sports since the age of 4.  I began playing baseball through our local rec department at the age of 4.  I began playing with a Select/Traveling team at the age of 9.  This summer will be my 9th year playing for the Richfield Rockets Select Baseball Team.  At KML, I have played Varsity baseball since freshman year.  In addition to baseball, I have played basketball and football.    

I am a strong student and am diligent with my studies.  I attended a very small Christian grade school and now a smaller high school.  I truly believe that the smaller school environment gave me a very individualized, excellent education.  As a student/athlete, I have had to learn strong time-management skills, as well as strong study habits to achieve success in the classroom.  As I look to my future, my classroom aspirations are focused on the medical field such as orthopedic surgery. 

I currently am 6'2", 170 lbs.  I currently have work-outs designed for me by a Physical Therapist with an emphasis on baseball. She has tailored my exercises to focus on core strength and stability, agility and Upper Body/Extremity strengthening.  I am a hard worker and am willing to be pushed to achieve excellence.  I believe that reinforcing the fundamentals of the sport will only help me achieve success in the future. 

In addition to my studies and baseball, I have been involved in some clinics and coaching (primarily pitching) with our younger players in our Select Program.

I believe in putting in 100% effort on/off the field.  It is my goal to have the chance to show you that in the future!
