Hello, my name is Benjamin Loyd. I am currently a junior at Tremper High School in Kenosha, WI. My primary position is short stop and my secondary position is second base. I love playing competitive baseball. I aspire to play competitively in college, and God willing, to go even beyond that. I have played baseball since I was four starting with t-ball. I have been fortunate to have learned the game from my dad and have had great coaches throughout the years. Since I take honors and AP courses I spend most of my time on school work when I am not playing baseball. I also like to spend time with my family, play basketball, and to watch MLB games. I play high school baseball in the spring, travel baseball in the summer and fall and during the winter I focus on weight and speed/agility training.
I have played varsity baseball since I was a freshman. I have been asked to try-out and have made the Chicago Scouts fall team the last three years. I am excited that I was asked to be co-captain of our varsity baseball team at Tremper for the 2019-2020 season. I am second batter on both my high school and travel teams.
In terms of my academic future, I plan to have a strong junior and senior year. I continue to be enrolled in honors and AP courses. I have many interests academically which include engineering, sports medicine/therapy, and psychology.
The promise I make to my future coach is I will play with heart, integrity and teamwork. I will always give 110% to the team and program.
