Cooper Holewinski '19 Recruiting Profile

My name is Cooper Holewinski and I will be a senior (Class of 2019) attending Middleton High School in Middleton, Wisconsin.

The most successful people I have connected with have all worked hard to get to the next level.  I work hard because I want to be successful at the next level.  I don't expect anything to be just given to me.  In order to earn the opportunity to receive a top education and to compete for a high level college baseball program, I have to commit myself to the grind, make sacrifices, be self-disciplined, and work really hard.

My philosophy is simple in the classroom and on the diamond as I have listened my teachers and coaches along the way.  I have made my academics a priority.  I enjoy school and interacting with my fellow classmates and teachers.  My academic effort has been rewarded as I am a member of the National Honor Society while taking AP and Honors coursework.  My hard work in the classroom has also given me the opportunity to lead and serve as a Math tutor, be a regular guest reader in a local kindergarten classroom, and coach and instruct/mentor younger players within the Silver Sluggers travel baseball program.  The added connections with my teachers, classmates, coaches, and community has increased my support system to help me achieve my goals after high school.

My goal after high school is to compete and contribute on a successful and competitive college baseball program, and at the same time earn a degree in an area of study that I am passionate about.  I have big interest in Sports Performance and Kinesiology and Physical Therapy.  I am not set on attending school in any specific area of the country, rather earn the opportunity to have success in the classroom and on the diamond playing the game I love.  As I continue to take the initiative to make the most of my opportunities, I am confident that my decision to commit myself to the grind, make sacrifices, be self-disciplined , and work hard will pay off.
